A few of you weren’t exactly sure what Contiki Chronicles was and what we were doing during our time in Europe together. I had the opportunity to explore parts of Europe with my girls Zanita and Jessica as part of the new Contiki Chronicles Campaign shot by the incredibly talented Akila Berjaoui over the course of seven days.

We traveled to Amalfi Coast in Italy, Dubrovnik in Croatia and Instanbul in Turkey. Although it may look like from the outside (and often the biggest misconception about how we go about portraying our day-to-day lives and work) that we were “on a holiday”, we were in fact tirelessly shooting with Akila for this campaign as well as shooting the video elements too. This was balanced alongside shooting content for our visual diaries, outfit posts and Instagrams etc. A job I will never ever complain about, but one that comes with the price of various misconceptions when you’re constantly in front and behind the lens.

As I have never experienced a traditional Contiki Tour before I didn’t know what to base my opinion on. My honest thoughts were how wonderful, streamlined, and easy it was to be accompanied by a tour manager who took care of all the smaller details like buying our bus or train tickets, organising transfers and tours, where we should eat, and basically keeping us all in order and on time which allowed us to completely focus on the task at hand: shooting content.

So I hope you enjoy Akila’s campaign photos and the Contiki video too. I’m not used to having someone constantly filming me but the end result wasn’t too embarrassing. Just a little fun in the European sun, and a whole lot of dancing.
