Location LOCATION: Milan

After deciding to go to Milan so last minute I was in awe of the new memories I was one airline ticket away from missing. I had to keep reminding myself why taking risks and spending large amounts of money on traveling are worth every penny and every smile from seeing a new place, experiencing new things and meeting lovely new people along the way. Two of these would be meeting Roberto Cavalli during an intimate tea party where he showed us a sneak peek of his new AW 13/14 collection the day before the show, and meeting Massimo Giorgetti from MSGM who was kind enough to dress me for MFW after hearing I wasn’t planning on attending MFW and had absolutely nothing to wear. Two people I never thought I’d ever get the chance to meet, nor have the opportunity to show Roboerto himself the shoot I did in one of his Just Cavalli creations and hear first hand how much he loved it. Surreal, very surreal while I was silently freaking out on the inside.

Even though New York and Paris are two of my favurite cities I still feel so drawn to calling Milan my favourite fashion week out of all four. I think it’s the mix of being home to some of the biggest and most inspiring fashion houses in the world and also the kindness and hospitality shown by the Italians every time I visit their beautiful city.

Shows in order from first to last are Gucci, Roberto Cavalli, Just Cavalli, Sportmax, MSGM, Fausto Puglisi, Pucci and Marni. And I’m already looking forward to next season!
