Location LOCATION: Barcelona

After Milan Fashion Week my plans were to head back to New York for a few days before flying back home to Sydney, but somehow fate had different plans for me and I found my way to Barcelona instead. I flew here for a few days for a photo shoot with MANGO for their online magazine and it was a wonderful way to see Barcelona for the very first time. I had spent a few days in Spain last year at San Sebastian but we ran out of time to really see any other parts of this beautiful area and I told myself I would just have to come back, but I really didn’t think it would be this soon!

I tried to take photos on my camera but after having my Canon Mark III SLR swiftly stolen when I wasn’t looking, I decided to be extra careful and documented my short stay in Barcelona on my Iphone instead. And don’t worry, after a split second I realized and miraculously managed to get my camera back after one man distracted me while the other shoved my camera up his jacket. I had heard the pick pocketing in Barcelona was bad but I wasn’t really prepared for this, and yet somehow this experience didn’t change my view of this beautiful city at all. I barely had time to cover much ground but my favourite places I saw were the La Boqueria Food Markets for freshly squeezed juices for breakfast and a visual delight with outstanding colours and endless walls of fruit and candy, the Sagrada Familia for an awe inspiring view of Gaudi’s work in the form of a towering gothic cathedral, and Parc Guell for a breath taking view over Barcelona with a setting sun and ice cream in hand.

Beautiful Barcelona, I don’t want to leave!
