Asos Red Bow Dress / Jennifer Zeuner Necklace / Charlotte Olympia Heels

For me there’s particular shoots in my mind that I’ve waited my whole life to do. Sometimes they don’t work out, sometimes they just fall into place. Even though it was a overcast day in Paris I couldn’t help but feel the excitement fluttering around in the pit of my stomach at the thought of spending our afternoon like this. Luckily Luke is used to these kind of requests by now so hearing “How long do you think it will take to blow up thirty helium balloons?” and “Can you please remember to bring my pastel wigs to London too?” seems normal. This was actually the first shoot Luke and I have done together in just over two months and after being apart for over six weeks it’s made me realise more than ever how much I love him and the way he captures these moments on camera. It’s always nice to have him there to laugh with (and definitely at) me as well when I realised after 10 minutes of jumping up and down that my nipple was popping out of my dress which was why two old men were taking photos.

I don’t know how it happened but this year I told myself to just start ticking off things on my bucket list, even if it means slowing down my online store and finally finding my way over to Europe for the first time and seeing the beauty of Paris with my very own eyes. Yes this was a shoot I’d waited longer than usual to do but looking at it now I feel like it was the perfect way to celebrate something so personal. Je t’aime Paris, you were absolutely perfect.
