When we were in Brisbane we tried to cover as much ground as we could in 24 hours. After checking into the Hilton Brisbane, we wandered around Queen Street Mall and took the car to explore the boutiques and cafes on Winn Lane and James Street in Fortitude Valley. Brisbane reminded me of Sydney in many ways, but as it wasn’t I got to see the city with fresh eyes and fell head over heels in love with this structure covered in pink bougainvilleas called the Grand Arbour. I think the locals are used to this sight but for me it was one of the prettiest locations I saw on my entire trip. Located just under the Brisbane Eye, this is the walkway to Southbank which is a cluster of palm trees and artificial pools located along the waterfront of the CBD in Brisbane. If only every city embraced flowers like Brisbane has. It would make life as a blogger so much easier with an inspiring location to shoot at during a setting sun, and I wouldn’t mind that little man made oasis too so I could escape the bustling city after meetings and relax by the pools.
