Patricia Chang Dress / Sergo Rossi Mermaid Heels

When a beautiful dress like this finds its way into your life it’s only fair to dedicate some time into creating a post especially for it. This dress is by New York based designer Patricia Chang, who was lovely enough to send me a little something just in time for MBFWA. What arrived was so much more than I expected, and it’s quite clear  her pieces are more works of art than anything else.

After leaving her previous role on the design team of Marchesa,  it’s no wonder Patricia’s skills and in-depth knowledge of her craft exceed the majority of newly up-and-coming designers out there. After only launching her debut line earlier this year, Patricia’s beautiful attention to detail, sharp tailoring and unique take on sophistication and femininity not only caught my eye, but also many bloggers around the world.

Just looking at this dress makes me subconsciously count how many hours went into sewing on each one of these beads and sequins, which exquisitely resemble tiny blue birds with an underlying oriental theme. It only seemed fair to shoot this dress around The Chinese Gardens in Darling Harbor, which I paired with another piece of art in the form of my new Sergio Rossi Mermaid Heels.

Just two of my current inspirations in one Zanita-fied post. God that girl is good…
