The afternoons here have been extremely deceiving. From indoors you think the sun is shining and the air is warm, with leaves starting to glimmer those shades of rich gold in the late afternoon sun, but when you actually get outside you realise the air is chilly and it’s absolutely freezing! Still, Autumn really is my favorite time of year and it’s always a good reason to start wearing beautiful coats and layering up. I think this year I might even be cold enough to finally wear elbow length leather gloves (my absolute dream), but we’ll see how cold it gets first. Still going through my preppy-meets-sailor phase and layering any collared shirt I can find with super soft angora jumpers or long sleeved tops. I don’t usually like layering too much but in this weather it’s the only thing that’s keeping me warm! Probably shouldn’t have worn the silk shorts then.
