Victoria Beckham Dress / Miu Miu Brogues / Mulberry Bag

A quick check-in after spending the last few days in Shanghai and Hong Kong, and then home again in a blink of an eye. Luke and I flew to Shanghai to work on a shoot with Lane Crawford, as well as attend the grand opening of their new luxury department store in Times Square. Although our stay was brief, it was a little reminder of how much I enjoy visiting Asia and how little time I’ve spent there in the past few years. The adorable Asian stationary and stickers alone is a good enough reason to book flights back to Japan!

I spotted this Victoria Beckham dress when I was quickly running around the store styling a few looks for the shoot. I adore a classic two piece suit, yet this modern take on such a timeless neccassity like a tuxedo suit immedietely caught my eye and made it impossible to ignore. After attending Victoria Beckham’s show at NYFW last season, I was familiar with how flattering her pieces are to a woman’s body but perhaps not appropriate for every body shape. After trying on this boxy but sharp silhouette, it was all rapidly downhill from there as I quickly started justifying how many seasons and ocassions this one particular piece would last me. And so, my first Victoria Beckham investment piece was welcomed to my wardrobe. Now here’s to hoping I’m smart enough to keep a good distance away from her bags…
