When I went backstage before the Talulah show I thought it must of been running late and the models were still in hair and make up. The atmosphere was unbelievably calm, everything was quiet and people were whispering so they didn’t disrupt the peace. There was no chaos, or yelling, or frantic running around for last minute touches, and I was pleasantly surprised to see everyone was actually there and patiently waiting for the show to start. This cool, calm and collected vibe was reflected throughout the Talulah show and made me feel like I was watching a group of bohemian gypsies walking down a deserted or perhaps candlelit beach. Soft peaches, tye dye maxi dresses, tassels, brass studs and fringing adorning flowing cotton dresses with touches of tribal prints and crochet. Models had strips of leather running down their fishtail plaits and beautifully soft summery make up, adding to the effortless bohemian 70′s vibe. Stand out piece for me was this unusual green fishtail top (pictured above) and of course the peach, white and green woven top, which seems to sum up the entire Talulah “Woven Dreams” S/S 11/12 collection perfectly. Kelli Wharton makes day to night wear look too easy.A big thank you to Jen from Cirqlate PR and Kelli for letting me pop backstage and for the front row view. It was a wonderful way to start the day and I look forward to seeing you next year!
