After New York I made my way to Paris to settle into a little (and trust me, I mean little!) apartment a week before Paris Fashion Week began. The one downfall of living in Australia is when you travel overseas you realise it’s more time and cost effective to keep travelling abroad rather than coming back and forth on that 24 hour flight, so I decided it was easier to base myself somewhere to feel like I had some sort of familiar ground before the hectic week of shows, meetings and appointments began in Paris. Luckily I was welcomed back with this beautiful sight: the first cherry blossom tree I have ever seen in real life. I know, I think I’m the last person I know who hasn’t seen one until now. Strange how you can draw so much inspiration from one tiny thing like a cherry blossom tree for half of your life, yet forget you’ve never seen it in reality. It seems my mind and feet finally wandered to the same place and all the way to the base of the Eiffel Tower… again.
