Carolina Herrera Dress and Heels

Venturing back to my last few days in Paris, these are officially the last series of photos I shot with my beloved Carin before going our seperate ways. I’d been saving this dress in hopes of coming across that spectacular backdrop to compliment its sea of black and white polkadots and billowing, sheer fabric. Paris is always a good idea, especially for shooting any kind of whimsical or romantic outfit. But this wasn’t the only thing I’d been saving. In many ways, I was saving these last photos until I was ready to accept the uncertainty of exactly when I’d get to see and shoot with Carin again. Perhaps with the thought of us being reunited in just a few mere weeks in Europe, I’m finally ready to let go of these photos in order to welcome our new ones.

Total Louis Vuitton Looks

Digging out some unpublished photos from the archives, these are some behind the scenes photos of my creative collaboration with Louis Vuitton earlier this year. Zanita and  I headed into Louis Vuitton’s head office in Paris to wrap our heads around their overflowing cupboard of samples and the freedom they had granted us to create whatever content we liked. As I had limited time to style the looks in just one hour before their next appointment arrived, I frantically scurried around while Zanita quickly took these photos as reference shots for the outfits. I really shouldn’t sound surprised that they turned out looking like this after a quick “Look to your right! Now to me in the mirror!”. Add her dreamy edits and I immediately feel calm looking back at these photos and can distinctly recall her whispering to me “Is this real life?” as we exited the Louis Vuitton building as quickly as we had arrived. And to be honest I’m still not quite sure, Zanita.

ASOS Dress / Miu Miu Brouges

Passing through the streets of Paris is a visual delight, no matter what time of day or even the weather. Even though overcast grey skies rule Paris for the majority of the year, it’s a city still full of colour and light and one I always feel incredibly inspired by. On our daily commute to find breakfast and location scout, Carin and I took these photos as we wandered past several doors, both big and small, taking note of the admiral attention to detail the Parisians possess and feeling inspired to share it with the world. Who would of thought something as simple as a front door or door knocker could come in such inspiring colours and variations? You really can find colour hiding in unexpected places if you look hard enough.

ASOS Skirt / Splendid Turtleneck (similar here) / Miu Miu Brogues / Mulberry Bag / Jennifer Zeuner Rings

When it’s cold I’ve always been drawn to wearing odd lengths and oversized coats during the day, which is why I already know this outfit may not be for everyone. An outfit that kind of looks like it’s swallowed me whole is weirdly satisfying in my books.

You’ll recall seeing this look in this post but paired with my patent Christian Louboutin Heels. Styled here with my Miu Miu Brogues, it’s a little perspective into what I look like when I’m running (yes literally running as there is never enough taxis) around cities for meetings or shoots. Interesting how much a pair of heels and a touch of dark lipstick can completely transform your look for the evening. But in this instance I think, for once, that I actually prefer it styled with flats.

What on earth is happening to me? Am I actually embracing my height for once?
