For me, sometimes the most effective outfits are the most simplest ones. It’s not about how it looks to other people, but more so about how it makes you feel. I guess that’s the big debate about why girls spend so much money on expensive clothes and designer brands. Really, we’re paying for the brand itself but at the same time we’re paying for the way it makes us feel, and if buying a pair of Charlotte Olympia Heels makes me feel as happy and fuzzy as they do every single time I purchase a pair, then hell I think it’s worth it.

This little yellow silk number by Tibi has to be one of the most simplest dresses I own. It’s simple halter neck with a touch of delicate back details makes it the perfect summer dress to throw on after a long day of exploring some hidden coves. I’ll never argue with anything that’s available in such a vibrant colour as well. Yellow and apple green have to be some of my favourite colours (who am I kidding? I think every colour is my favourite…), especially when mixed with these magenta shades of some sleepy bougainvillea vines. Nearly as sleepy as Ciuntadella during siesta time. Nearly.

Zanita and I have stopped over in Ibiza for a few days before heading back to Barcelona and then onto Paris. It seems to be a miracle if I get more than an hour or two online when I’m in Spain so looking forward to updating more once I touch down in France.

How many photos can you handle of me in my bikini? Probably just as many as we were capable of shooting with a whole beach of onlookers staring at me either completely confused or giggling to themselves. I’m so used to shooting photos in front of hundreds of people so whenever I start to get awkward I simply remind myself “You’ll more than likely never see these people again”, which makes it easy to make the most of each moment and not get caught up with people judging, or laughing, or perhaps both. Plus I’m positive they find it more hilarious to watch than anything else.

Cala Macarelleta in Menorca was as picturesque as the postcards we saw of it in town. Every inch of this secluded and serene cove made it hard not to smile from ear to ear and made dancing through its vibrant blue and sea green waters feel like a vague summers dream. I haven’t had the luxury of experiencing a European summer before so every tiny moment spent in the Mediterranean Sea is as appreciated as every gust of warm and salty sea air on my sun deprived skin. The tricky part is just trying to document it without looking like a deranged tourist splashing around like a floundering fish out of water…

A few days ago Zanita and I decided to fly to the Balearic Islands in between our short but lovely stay with Mango in Barcelona and our next project in Paris. With little time in between we had to choose between the four islands, so as Zanita had been to Mallorca before we chose Menorca and Ibiza. I hadn’t heard much about Menorca before. Actually, I hadn’t really heard anything at all, so I really had no idea what to expect besides a few google images of crystal clear water and dreamy little coves. But as soon as I arrived, I was lost for words, and to be honest I still am.

This small island, in particular the colourful town of Ciuntadella, has stolen my heart and sends my mind into overdrive with the thought of living the perfect life in this town that caters to my every need. Colourful buildings, cute pebbled alleyways and balconies adorned with fresh flowers fill the small town, with this beautiful and ethereal light filling each little street as it bounces and twirls off each white or brightly coloured wall. Beautifully rocky coves and intimate hidden beaches are the perfect home to Menorca’s crystal clear and turquoise waters of the Mediterranean Sea. A town like this is every photographers dream, and I’m not quite ready to leave just yet.

I think it’s safe to say I’m a coat addict. I’ve been collecting them for years now and I usually invest in classic shapes like the pea coat as I know they’ll never go out of fashion. When I saw this red wool coat by Australian designer Nicholas I was surprised by how much I was drawn to its modern and structured shape. A little out of the norm from my overflowing coat collection. I can honestly say I’ve never had so many comments on any other my other coats before, nor have I worn one so much in such a short period of time. Within its lapels are small magnets which make closing my coat look so much more sleek and chic without the hassle of bulky buttons. It also makes catching elevators that much more entertaining when my magnetic coat glues to the sides of the elevator. Win!

I paired this with a thigh high split maxi dress is actually lined with a playsuit underneath which made swirling and twirling much easier and also made me less self conscious about what exactly everyone was seeing on the street. Add my favourite go-to pieces for the night with pops of red and my satin Charlotte Olympia Heels and you’re looking at a super easy evening outfit which I wore to dinner with the Mango team and the girls.

During my time in Barcelona I quickly shot some street style photos with Grazia Spain. I didn’t actually plan on doing this so for someone who usually shoots photos in five inch heels it felt a little weird to have my feet so close to the earth and the ability to pace around on the spot ten times faster than I usually do as I was wearing flats for once. Shortly afterward, the lovely boys behind Cup of Couple, Mike and Gabrielle, shot these photos of me. I guess once I realised how much I loved this new and fast pace you couldn’t really keep me still. The only part that was moving faster than me was Mike and the short two minutes it took for him to shoot these photos. The guy is very, very good. Considering there’s one thousand four hundred and forty minutes in one day it always blows my mind how little time we have to shoot photos when our schedule is so full. I don’t even want to add up how many hours I waste spend refreshing the Instagram feed though. Actually, I did the other day and it was slightly cringe-worthy, but not as much as looking like you’re continuously chasing your tail around in circles in public, a habit that is like second nature for bloggers and made that much easier in a ridiculously comfortable pair of sandals.
