Looking back on Paris Fashion Week; Getting ready at 6am in my hotel room for the Chanel show with one of my favourite make-up artists – Victoria Baron – the official make-up artist for Chanel Australia.
It’s always a luxury to have your make-up done for an event or photoshoot, but even more so when you have Victoria to create this beauty look for none other than the coveted Chanel show during Paris Fashion Week – the silver lining on an already glamorous week.
We opted for luminous skin, a winged eye and a deep wine lip to give this look a vampy edge. Add a dash of No.5 and I was whisked out the door and into the show that diplomatically had all guests seated on a single front row, an ode to a time past when couture houses would show their collections in a similar manner. No theatrical production, or having people clambering over each other to be the first to Instagram, snap, or tweet about it. It was as effortless as it was refined, with Karl transporting us back to a time when fashion felt so pure. It was a pleasant surprise – shocking us with simplicity at a time when it’s all about excess.
