After years of emailing one liners that simply said “Where in the world are you now? Shoot?” to each other, Byron and I finally came together to work on my Nylon Singapore cover story, which seemed to be the ultimate project for his bright and bold aesthetic and one of my favourite shoots to date. To make the deal even more special, Peter Simon Phillips took charge of the styling (I used to intern for Pete during my Grazia days, so it’s humbling when everything comes full circle) for our Australiana themed story and easily managed to keep this editorial high fashion and tasteful rather than tacky. There was colour, there was layering, there was green eyeliner and a rooftop full of plush toys – the shoot was extremely Nylon and quirky and whacky. I still felt like myself and adore how the editorial turned out.
Thank you to Nylon Singapore for having me as your cover girl!
